News & Updates
- Renewable Energy & NYSERDA – Two vendors were picked to supply 15% power to NYC. We adopted principles to manage these large projects.
- Daylighting Tibbetts Greenway – Was in the news recently as a result of the Ida storm and flooding on the Major Deegan. See Tibbetts Daylighted Itself. Four links: Bronx Times, Daily News, Norwood News, Gothamist.
- Leaf Island Living Shoreline demonstration project with the Gaia Institute is along the Van Cortlandt Park Lake is progressing. We need approvals to begin work. (BCEQ has restricted funding for this project.)
- Student Intern Presentation correlating Environmental Determinants of wealth, health, infrastructure with city services and lack thereof, will be presented to the NYC Council soon. Press Release
