Part 4: The Planning of The Bronx Through Parks

125 Years of Bronx Parks: A Four-Part Lecture Series
In honor of the creation of the Bronx Parks system

Join us for the fourth part of this dynamic lecture series, held at Pratt Institute’s Manhattan campus! Participants will
explore the impact of the Parks acquisition on the planning and development of Bronx neighborhoods and the impact of
Frederick Law Olmsted’s plans for The Bronx in 1877-78.

We have a third speaker as well. All three panelists will talk about the creation of the parks in the context the urban design ideas of the late 18th century.  It should be a great program.  Peter Gisolfi, ASLA, AIA, LEED AP.  Peter is the founding partner of Peter Gisolfi Associates, Architects and Landscape Architects, where he is principal-in-charge of design.  Mr. Gisolfi is a Professor of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and serves as Chairman of the Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York.
