Supporters of the HRWG and the Harlem River Greenway,
You are invited to our September Meeting of the Harlem River Working Group where we will be discussing updates on our efforts to reconnect community members to the Harlem River Waterfront and to develop a greenway and on-water access points and activities on both sides of the Harlem River Waterfront.
This month we will be focusing on
- Our 10th Celebration of the Urban Waters Federal Partnership (with extremely limited attendance for group members due to Federal Guidelines which we will be following – less than 40 people total will be allowed in attendance including elected officials);
- Free Canoe Trips for Community and NYC Public Schools October 11-13th at Roberto Clemente State Park;
- Full Funding of the Manhattan side of the Harlem River Greenway;
- Updates on campaign to Daylight of Tibbetts Brook and the Putnam Line and progress towards connecting Roberto Clemente State Park to Van Cortlandt Park (the the Empire State Trail); as well as updates from Community, Park and Advocacy Partners.
